The crash reporter only reports ONE of the errors though there may be many. That you have not seen this reported may be because it's not the only or primary cause. If the ASN EXE (main UI) crashed, its name would be reported to Windows.Īnother common cause of random crashes is the uiautomationcore.dll which is pretty much a requirement in 64 bit.

When ANY weather program (FSX default Jeppeson, ASN or whatever) send a lot of high density clouds and your system is already close to it's operational margins, those additional details can push it over the edge.īecause you do not have faults in the Event Viewer, this is typical of add-ons which do not report their names to Windows because they do not have names (poor coding practices.) The modules that ASN load into FSX have names. The most common causes of freezes is too high graphics options settings.

If ASN was the primary cause of freezes and crashes, it would do it to everyone. It's very smooth, it's almost perfect.ĭoes anyone have any idea what could be done ? I was thinking about installing ASN on my laptop and network it with my FSX pc. The bad news is that I've tried OPUS and I hated it. No faulty dll's.įSX Deluxe Edition + Service Pack 1 and 2 installed. When I enter the event viewer, all I've got is: FSX.exe stopped interacting with Windows and had to be closed. Operating System - Windows 7 Professional Edition (64-Bit) Restarted FSX without ActiveSky: completed the flight just fine. After that, I turned ActiveSky Next on, and guess what: FSX frooze after 60 min. Without it, I completed three flights with more that 3 hours each without FSX frezing. And ActiveSky Next ended up being guilty. So I started eliminating possible causes. Sometimes it freezes after 40 min, sometimes after 2 hours, it's random. It's been 1 month since I built my home cockpit and installed FSX, and since then, I can't complete one flight without the sim freezing. Well … after some testing, I can most certainly say that ActieSky next is causing my FSX to freeze.
